Award winning writer and director of some of the funniest spoof movies of the 1980’s and 90’s, “Airplane!” and “Naked Gun” series and more recently “Scary Movie 4.” Jim’s 1997 television drama “First Do No Harm” starring Meryl Streep, closely mirrors his son Charlie's story about a boy whose severe epilepsy, unresponsive to surgery and medications and with terrible side effects, is controlled by the ketogenic diet. Charlie has been seizure and drug free for 20 years and eating a regular diet for 17 years.
